Welcome to the 6th Worlds End Ultramarathon family reunion! Since we are not having our Friday night pre-race meeting, I want to cover whatever I can here in this post. 🙌🏻 Thank You Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who have stepped up to support the race this year! A lot of our normal volunteer base was unable to commit this year with the date change which meant a lot of new names in the book. We’re looking forward to […]
At this time, the Worlds End Ultra held in Sullivan County is in ‘green phase’ per Governor Wolf’s orders. The social restrictions in ‘green phase’ means the race must adhere to large gatherings below 250 people and wearing a mask while entering businesses. We will also need to adhere to CDC guidelines and recommendations at the event. As it stands, the race would not be in compliance to Governor Wolf’s orders nor meet the CDC mitigation guidelines. Even though our […]
🗣 Please remain calm! Due to the ongoing public health threat of coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the decision to officially postpone the 2020 Worlds End Ultramarathon until September 26, 2020. We have made this decision after careful consideration, knowing that we want to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our participants, our volunteers, and our running community. The ongoing situation with continual moving targets, disruption, and uncertainty have thwarted our hopes that we would be able to weather […]
🗣 Alternative Race Date As you can tell, no race is immune to the possible effects of the coronavirus and with so much out of our hands, it would be wise and prudent of us to look at the ramifications this could have on the Worlds End Ultramarathon in May. Looking at best case scenario, the event ban imposed by DCNR for any event that is conducted in state parks or state forests would be lifted at the end of […]

That being said, the Worlds End Ultramarathon will be going cupless […]

Janice Sample Rule This year we have the honor to be a Western States 100 qualifier, selling out the 50k in 5 minutes and the 100k in 10 minutes, and a wait list that is longer than the registered entrants in the race. With that said, we will be instituting the “Janice Sample” rule this year. You MUST show up in person, with ID in hand, to receive your bib to race. All 100k runners will also need to get […]
